VOTE FOR A SOLUTION

VOTE FOR THE MOST INNOVATIVE SOLUTION!

The objective of this call is to support Latin American and Caribbean financial entities to design and implement innovative solutions for the inclusion of people with disabilities, as customers as well as employees, in the financial sector.

Through this call, launched by the Innovation Lab of the Competitiveness and Innovation Division, with the support of the Financial Market Division’s program beyondBanking and the Multilateral Investment Fund, the Inter-American Development Bank aims at identifying practical answers to the following questions:

  • How can we use technology and innovation to promote labor inclusion and gender equality for people with disabilities in the financial sector?
  • What are the innovations that financial players need in order to remove barriers?
  • What is the demand for such solutions?
  • Are there financial institutions that are labor inclusive and gender equal through innovation?
  • Are there innovators that can help financial institutions to be more inclusive and gender equal?

Financial players, as well as the private sector in general, are showing an increasing commitment to making their workplace more inclusive and gender equal while reaching out to unattended clients. This is because of the opportunity to leverage the talent of their human resources, irrespective of their disabilities or gender while serving new segments of the markets.

Increased evidence shows that institutions that are Socially Responsible with their customers and employees perform better in the market: employees are happier, more productive, and more committed to the firm. Moreover, more customers are paying attention to the social impact that a firm has and they are more likely to purchase products that have a social added value.
