The i-lab contests

It is impossible to deliver high impact innovations without knowing the real challenges and without creative people. For this reason The Innovation Lab uses crowdsoursing, allowing participants from all over the world to use the interactive platform to participate in the Contest of Problems, Contest of Solutions, or Call for Ideas.

In this section you can find the open contests or calls you can participate in. Notice that to send us your proposal and participate you must REGISTER. If you want to participate in a specific contest, click on the contest or call you are interested in and register to participate! After your registration, you will have access to any online forms concerning the contest or call you are interested in and you will be able to make comments. Once you are registered, you can also come back to this section if you would like to present a challenge you think The I-LAB could solve. There will be a Basic Form you can fill out here.

What is “innovation”?

No existe una definición universalmente aceptada de Innovación. Definimos innovación un producto o un servicio que todavía no existe o no está disponible en América Latina o en el Caribe. Por ejemplo, estas no son innovaciones: una rampa para acceder a un edificio en silla de ruedas, una impresora Braille.

What is “crowdsourcing”?

Proceso a través del cual ciertas actividades se externalizan a través de una grupo de personas (por lo general en lugares dispersos) que responden a un llamado para tratar de resolver un problema, por   lo que el público podrá votar por las propuestas con mayor potencial de impacto.
